Chana Eases On Lack Of Fresh Buying
(15 Nov 2019, 15:30)
NCDEX Chana futures slipped after testing one and half week high yesterday as traders are not willing to push up the prices much given the expected pick up in rabi sowing in coming weeks. The latest data showed that area sown under pulses was at 27.85 lakh hectare in last week, as against 39.93 lakh hectare in the year-ago period. However, the weather conditions mostly remain supportive and lack of fresh buying is weighing on the commodity after the recent run up. The NCDEX December futures are trading at Rs 4541 per quintal, down 0.53% on the day after testing a low of Rs 4500 per quintal. The open interest in the counter is down 1.53% so far today, extending a recent drop.
